    In the questions given below, there are three statements

    followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions. Statements: All SD is HJ Some HJ is RG No HJ is WS Conclusion: I. Some SD is not RG II. Some RG is not WS III. Some HJ are SD.

    Solution

    All SD is HJ (A) + Some HJ is RG (I) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion I does not follow. No HJ is WS (E) → Conversion → No WS is HJ (E) + Some HJ is RG (I) → Some RG is not WS (O). Hence conclusion II follows. All SD is HJ (A) → Conversion → Some HJ are SD (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
