a result, a person can now purchase 75 kg of wheat for the same amount of money they previously spent. How many kilograms of wheat could the person buy before the price reduction?
A 66 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 75 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 90 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 84 kg Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Let the per kg cost price of wheat initially be Rs. '100x'. Let the person buys 'Q' kg of wheat before reduction in price and Rs. 'T' be the total price paid by the person for buying the required quantity of wheat. Total price = cost price (Per kg) X Quantity ATQ,Total price = 100x X Q = (0.88 X 100x) X 75 Or, 'Q' = (88/100) X 75 = (22/25) X 75 So, 'Q' = 66 Therefore, the person could buy 66 kg of wheat earlier.
