Blood Relations topic is a subset of the larger Verbal Reasoning section of the syllabus. Blood relations questions are fairly straightforward as the name itself suggests. A number of persons or characters are provided in the question and candidates are asked to determine how one particular character is related to another. Blood Relations questions can be of various types- direct relationships, coded relationships, family tree constructions, etc. Of these, questions based on direct relations and coded relationships are the most common. Questions based on Blood Relations are evaluated in examinations such as SBI PO, SBI Clerk, RBI Grade B, RBI Assistant, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SEBI Grade A, IBPS SO, NHB, PFRDA Grade A, NABARD Grade A and NABARD Grade B among others.
In Coded Blood Relations, the relationships between people are represented through codes or symbols. The goal of these problems is to determine the relationships between individuals based on information provided in the form of coded statements.
