    right and Kamla is 20th from the left. When Sangeeta and Kamla Interchange position, Kamla becomes 32nd from the left. Which of the following will be Sangeeta’s new position from the right?

    Solution

    Since Sangeeta and Kamla interchange places, so Kamla's new position (32nd from left ) is the same as Sangeeta's earlier position (8th from right). So, number of students in the row = (31 + 1 + 7) = 39. Now, Sangeeta’s new position is the same as Kamla’s earlier position i.e., 20th from left. Therefore Sangeeta’s position from the right = (39 – 19) = 20th
