Code = (10 + 3) - 5 = 13 - 5 = 8 For POCKET, P, C, K and T are the consonants in the word POCKET. Code = (16 + 3 + 11 + 20) - 6 = 50 - 6 = 44 For DEAR, D and R are the consonants in the word DEAR. Code = (4 + 18) - 4 = 22 - 4 = 18. So, the code for DEAR is 18.
