    From statement I, J is kept three boxes below N. K is kept above N but below M. M is kept two boxes above H. L is kept below I, we get: So, from statement I alone, we get only two boxes are kept between K and I. From Statement II, at least two boxes are kept above N. H is kept one box above N. Only three boxes are kept between H and J. M is kept one box above K. L is kept one box below I, we get: From statement II alone, we get either only two boxes or only four boxes are kept between K and I. Therefore, data given in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question.
