Question
Which of the following statement is
true? Answer the questions based on the information given below. Seven employees A, B, C, D, E, F and G of a police ranks working at seven different designation i.e. DGP, ADGP, IGP, DIGP, INSPECTOR, SI and HAVILDAR but not in the same order. The precedence of the designations is in the same order as mentioned above such that DGP is considered as senior β most and HAVILDAR is considered as the junior β most. All the persons belong to the seven different states i.e. MP, UP, HP, UK, MH, Assam and Kerala but again not in the same order. C is immediate junior to the one who belongs to MP and is not the SI. Only two persons are senior than F, who does not belong to HP. E belongs to Kerala and is junior than G but not immediate junior. G does not belong to UP. D is immediate senior to the one who belongs to HP. D is junior than the one, who belongs to UP. Neither INSPECTOR nor HAVILDAR belongs to HP. The one who belongs to MH is senior than D but junior than A, who is not the DGP. The INSPECTOR does not belong to UK. A does not belong to Assam.Solution
1. Only two persons are senior than F which means F is IGP. 2. D is just senior than the one who belongs to HP. Neither INSPECTOR nor HAVILDAR belongs to HP. 3. F does not belong to HP. D is junior than the one, who belongs to UP. The one who belongs to MH is senior than D but junior than A, who is not the DGP. So, from the above clues it is clear that the one who works as SI, belongs to HP which means D works as INSPECTOR. Also, either F or the one who works as DIGP belongs to MH. So, we have two cases. Case I: When F belongs to MH: Case II: When the one who works as DIGP belongs to MH:
