Question
Which of the following combination is true with respect
to the final arrangement? Study the following information carefully and answer the below questions. Seven friends- A, B, C, D, E, F, and G are working in a different company- IBM, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, L&T, HCL, TCS and Wipro. They are celebrating Diwali festival on different days starting from Monday to Sunday of the same week. All the information is not necessarily in the same order. D is celebrated on Thursday. Neither E nor A is working in Tech Mahindra. E is celebrated after C. The Tech Mahindra celebrates after D. HCL celebrated two days before TCS. The one who works in L&T does not celebrate on Wednesday. C is celebrating a festival two days before the one who is working in Tech Mahindra. The one who works in IBM celebrates on Monday. B works in Wipro but not celebrates on consecutive day of C. Only two persons are between the one who works in Infosys and C. F neither celebrates after C nor Monday.Solution
D is celebrated on Thursday. The Tech Mahindra celebrates after D. C is celebrating a festival two days before the one who is working in Tech Mahindra. From the above condition, there are two possibilities.
Only two persons are between the one who works in Infosys and C. The one who works in IBM celebrates on Monday.
B works in Wipro but not celebrates on consecutive day of C. F neither celebrates after C nor Monday. E is celebrated after C. Neither E nor A is working in Tech Mahindra.
HCL celebrated two days before TCS. The one who works in L&T does not celebrate on Wednesday. From the above condition, case 1 gets eliminated.Â
Case 2 shows the final arrangement
The H.C.F. of two numbers is 14 and the other two factors of their L.C.M. are 5 and 11. The larger of the two numbers is:
The least number which when divided by 5, 15 and 25 leave a same remainder 2 in each case?Â
LCM of two numbers is 10 times their HCF. The product of the numbers is 18000. What will be the maximum possible difference between the numbers?
Find the LCM of 20, 30, 40, 50.
Two numbers are in the ratio 2:7. The product of their H.C.F. and L.C.M. is 5054. The sum of the numbers is:
Let N be the greatest number that will divide 85, 112, 139 leaving the same remainder in each case. Then sum of the digits in N is:
Three numbers are in the ratio 3:7:2 respectively. If the HCF of the numbers is 5, then find the LCM of the numbers.
The smallest number which when divided by 27 and 36 leaves remainder 12 and 21 respectively is:
The HCF of two numbers is 14. Which of the following can never be their LCM?
The product of two numbers is 2880 and their GCD is 24. What is the LCM?
