    restaurant they are sitting around a rectangular table, with three persons along each of the longer sides of the table and one person along each of the shorter sides. All the male persons (A, B, C and D) are sitting along the longer sides and no the male persons are sitting together. X is sitting to the right of C. W and Z are sitting at the longer sides and neither of them is sitting adjacent to their respective husbands. Y is sitting to the right of A. A cannot sit at place no. 7 and 5 and D cannot sit at place no. 1 and 3 as none of them is sitting adjacent to their respective husbands. X is sitting to the right of C. If C sits at place no. 7, then X will sit at place no. 8. Y is sitting to the right of A. If A sits at place no. 3, then Y will sit at place no. 4. D cannot sit at place no. 1 as no wife is sitting adjacent to their respective husbands. So, D will sit at place no. 5. Only person left for place no. 1 is B.
