    Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions. Seven members i.e. A, D, E, G, J, M and P of a family are sitting in a row some of them facing north and some of them are facing south. Persons sitting at the ends face opposite direction. G and Wife of A are immediate neighbours of each other. Wife of E sits second to the left of E. Mother of E sits on the immediate right of wife of E. Both E and wife of E faces same direction. Only two persons sits between mother of E and M. A is the son-in-law of D. D is married to J. A and J are not immediate neighbours. A and G face same direction. A does not face south. G is the niece of E. Father of E, who sits at one of the ends sits second to the left of M. Immediate neighbours of E face opposite direction. A sit on the immediate right of Father of E. J and M faces same direction.

    How many persons are sitting between G and D?

    Solution

    Wife of E sits second to the left of E. Mother of E sits on the immediate right of wife of E. Both E and wife of E faces same direction. Only two persons sit between mother of E and M. Father of E, who sits at one of the ends sits second to the left of M. A sit on the immediate right of Father of E. Persons sitting at the ends face opposite direction. So, from this case 1 and case 4 gets eliminated. G and wife of A are immediate neighbours of each other. G is the niece of E. D is married to J. A is the son-in-law of D. A and J are not immediate neighbours. J and M faces same direction. A and G face same direction. Immediate neighbours of E face opposite direction.
