Question

Seven persons A0, B0, C0, D0, E0, F0 and G0 are sitting around a circular table facing the center (not necessarily in the same order). Two persons sit between B0 and G0. A0 sit second to the left of E0. C0 is the neighbor of G0. D0 sits third to the right of B0. Which of the following statement is correct?

    I. F0 sits immediate left of G0.

Il. Two persons sit between G0 and E0.

A Only I Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Both I and II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Only II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Neither I nor II Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

According to the given conditions,  Two persons are sitting between B0 and G0 and D0 sits third to the right of B0.  B0 sits 3rd to the right of G0.  Since A0 sits second to the left of E0 and C0 is the neighbor of G0, from these conditions we get that C0 sits to the immediate right of G0 and E0 sits just to the left of D0.  Now only F0 remains, who must be sitting to the right of B0. Final arrangement is shown below. From the above arrangement, it is clear that: F0 sits to the immediate left of D0. So, statement I is false. Also, two persons sit between G0 and E0. So, only statement II is true. Hence, the correct answer is (C).
