    In each of the questions below are given three statements followed by three conclusions numbered I, II and III. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts.     Solution

    All eggs are trays(A) + No tray is a white(E) ⇒ No egg is a white (E) + Some whites are ducks(I) ⇒ Some ducks are not eggs(O*). Hence conclusion I follow. No tray is a white(E) ⇒ Conversion ⇒ No white is a tray(E). Hence conclusion II follows. Some whites are ducks (I) ⇒ Conversion ⇒ Some ducks are whites(I). Hence conclusion III does not follow.
