In the question below there are three statements followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts.

Statements: Only Ear is Eye. No Hand is

Ear. Only a few Hands are Legs. Conclusion: I. Some Eyes can be Legs. II. Some Legs can be Ears. III. Some Hands are not Legs.
A Only conclusion II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only conclusions I and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Only conclusion I follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Only conclusions II and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of the above Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Only Ear is Eye → All Eye are Ear and Eye cannot have positive relation with anyone. Hence conclusion I does not follow. No Hand is Ear (E) → Conversion → No Ear is Hand (E) + Only a few Hand is Leg (I) → Some Leg are not Ear (O*) → Probable conclusion → Some Leg can be Ear (I). Hence conclusion II follows. Only a few Hand is Leg → Some Hand are not Leg (O) and Some Hand are Leg (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
