    In the question below there are four statements followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the four statements disregarding commonly known facts.

    Statements: Some year are day. Each year

    is month. Only day are week. Conclusions: I. Some month are week. II. Some month are year. III. No year is week

    Solution

    Only day are week → All week are day and week cannot have any positive relation with any element. Hence conclusion I does not follow but conclusion III follows. Each year is month (A) → Conversion → Some month are year (I). Hence conclusion II follows.
