Floor No.? Study the following information carefully to answer the given questions: There are Twelve persons i.e. P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z and A who lives in a building having Four floors such that ground floor is numbered as 1 and above it is 2 and so on up to top floor numbered as 3. Each of the floor consist of 3 flats as flat-1, flat-2 and flat-3. Flat-1 of floor-2 is immediately above flat-1 of floor-1 and immediately below flat-1 of floor-3 and in the same way flat-2 of floor-2 is immediately above flat-2 of floor-1 and immediately below flat-2 of floor-3 and so on. Flat-2 is in east of flat-1 and flat-3 is in east of flat-2. Note: If A lives above (or below) B, then there are living in same flat unless stated otherwise. Q lives immediately above of W who lives to the immediate East of U in an odd numbered floor. V lives to the west of Y who lives to the immediate above of S on Floor-2 and in Flat-3. X lives north-west of W and immediate west of Q. T lives immediately below of R who lives in North-West direction of P who lives immediately above of A.Solution
Q lives immediately above of W who lives to the immediate East of U in an odd numbered floor. As per these lines four cases will form: V lives to the west of Y who lives to the immediate above of S on Floor-2 and in Flat-3. Case-2 gets rejected since above said condition is not possible. Also we get two more sub cases from Case-1-A and Case-2-A
X lives north-west of W and immediate west of Q Case-1 gets rejected since above said condition is not possible
T lives immediately below of R who lives in North-West direction of P who lives immediately above of A. Note: Case-1-A, Case-2-A and Case-1-A (I) gets rejected since above said condition is not possible
Finally Z lives in 1st floor of FLAT-2 and we get the final arrangement
