    In each of the questions below are given some statements followed by some Conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the Conclusions and then decide which of the given Conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

    Statements: All Onion are Potato. No

    Potato is Tomato. All Tomato are Cabbage. Conclusions: I. All Potato being Cabbage is a possibility. II. All Potato are Onion. III. No Potato is Cabbage.

    Solution

    Alternative Method: No Potato is Tomato (E) + All Tomato are Cabbage (A) → Some Cabbage are not Potato (O*) → Probable conclusion → All Potato may be Cabbage (A). Hence conclusion I follows but conclusion III does not follow. All Onion are Potato (A) → Conversion → Some Potato are Onion (I). Hence conclusion II does not follow.
