Question

In the following question below are given some

statements followed by some conclusions based on those statements. Taking the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusion logically follows the given statements. Statements: All N is W. All P is W. No Z is P. Conclusions: I. Some W is not Z. II. All Z is not W. III. Some N is P.
A Only Conclusion II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only Conclusion I and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Either Conclusion I or II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Only Conclusion I follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    No Z is P (E) + All P is W (A) → Some W is not Z (O). Hence neither conclusion I nor II follow but it will make a complementary pair. Hence either conclusion I or II follows. All N is W (A) → Conversion → Some W is N (I). All P is W (A) + Some W is N (I) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion III does not follow.
