You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions definitely follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

    Statements: Only a few Kennel are Stable.

    No Stable is Den. All Den are Shed. Conclusions: I. All Kennel are Shed. II. Some Shed are Den. III. All Stable are Shed.

    Solution

    Only a few Kennel are Stable (I) + No Stable is Den (E) → Some Kennel are not Den (O) +  All Den are Shed (A) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion I does not follow. All Den are Shed (A) → Conversion → Some Shed are Den (I). Hence conclusion II follows. No Stable is Den (E) + All Den are Shed (A) → Some Shed are not Stable (O*). Hence conclusion III does not follow.
