You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions definitely follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

    Statements: All Tool are Application. No

    Application is Word. Some Word are Menu. Conclusions: I. No Tool is Menu. II. Some Menu are not Tool. III. All Menu can be Application.

    Solution

    All Tool are Application (A) + No Application is Word (E) → No Tool is Word (E) + Some Word are Menu (I) → Some Menu are not Tool (O*). Hence conclusion I does not follows but conclusion II follow. No Application is Word (E) + Some Word are Menu (I) → Some Menu are not Application (O*) → Probable conclusion → Some Menu can be Application (I). Hence conclusion III does not follow.
