    Statements:

    Some Columbians are Portuguese

    All Portuguese are Canadians

    All Canadians are Indonesians

    Conclusions:

A All conclusions follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Both conclusions I and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Both conclusions I and II follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Both conclusions II and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

The possible Venn diagram is: Conclusions:   Some Indonesians are Columbians → Follow → As Some Columbians are Portuguese, All Portuguese are Canadians and, All Canadians are Indonesians. So, some Indonesians are Canadians is definitely followed. All Canadians are Portuguese → Does not follow → As Some Columbians are Portuguese, All Portuguese are Canadians and, All Canadians are Indonesians. So, all Canadians are Portuguese is definitely not followed. Some Indonesians are Portuguese → Follow → As All Portuguese are Canadians and All Canadians are Indonesians. So, some Indonesians are Portuguese is definitely followed. Thus, both conclusion I and II follow. Hence, the correct answer is (B).
