    In the question below some statements are given followed by two conclusions I and II. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts.     Statements: Some Young are Youth. All

    Youth are Teenage. A few Teenage are Adult. Conclusions: I. Some Young are not Teenage. II. Some Youth are Adult.

    Solution

    Some Young are Youth (I) + All Youth are Teenage (A) → Some Young are Teenage (I). Hence conclusion I does not follow. All Youth are Teenage (A) + A few Teenage are Adult (I) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion II does not follow.
