    In the following questions below are given some

    statements followed by some conclusions based on those statements. Taking the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusion logically follows the given statements. Statements: Some AB are CD. Some CD are LK. Conclusion: I. Some AB being LK is a possibility. II. All LK are CD. III. Some CD are not LK is a possibility.

    Solution

    Some AB are CD (I) + Some CD are LK (I) → Probable conclusion → Some AB may LK (I). Hence conclusion I follows. Some CD are LK (I) → Conversion → Some LK are CD (I). Hence conclusion II does not follow. Some CD are LK (I) → Probable conclusion → Some CD may not be LK (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
