    In the questions given below there are three

    statements followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: Few Tenants are Rents. No Landlord is an Owner. All Tenants are Landlords. Conclusion: I. Some Rents are not Owners. II. All Owners are Rents. III. Some Landlords are Rents.

    Solution

    Few Tenants are Rents (I) → Conversion → Some Rents are Tenants (I) + All Tenants are Landlords (A) → Some Rents are Landlords (I) + No Landlord is a Owner (E) → Some Rents are not Owners (O). Hence conclusion I follows but conclusion II does not follow. Few Tenants are Rents (I) → Conversion → Some Rents are Tenants (I) + All Tenants are Landlords (A) → Some Rents are Landlords (I) → Conversion → Some Landlords are Rents (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
