You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts.     is a shrub. No shrub is a herb. Conclusions:                          I. Some shrub are tree. II. Some shrub are not tree.

    Solution

    No tree is a shrub (E) ⇒    Conversion ⇒ No shrub is a tree (E) ⇒ I.I. ⇒ Some shrub are not tree (O) . Hence, conclusion I will not follow but conclusion II will follow.
