SBI PO vs SBI Clerk: IN Hand Salary
SBI PO Salary:
SBI will offer a basic pay of Rs. 27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The total compensation per annum on CTC basis will be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on the place of posting and other factors.
SBI Clerk Salary:
11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-28110- 2120/1- 30230-1310/1-31450. The starting Basic Pay is `13075.00 (`11765.00 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates.
The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around `25,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates. They will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave fare and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from time to time.

SBI PO vs SBI Clerk: Work Timings
SBI PO’s actual office timings are 10-5, however as PO is a very hectic and demanding job, therefore, work timings usually stretch beyond 10-5.
SBI Clerk, on the other hand, has fixed timings from 10-5. Therefore the work-life balance of a clerk is easier than that of a PO.
All said and done about SBI PO and SBI Clerk, the choice between the two exams solely depends on you. You can go for SBI PO if you are ambitious enough to reach the top. If you are looking to lean more towards personal life rather than spending time at the office, then SBI clerk post is the one for you, although you may have to sacrifice the benefits of being a SBI PO.
