NIACL AO Prelims Exam Analysis
New India Assurance Company Limited, commonly called NIACL is the largest public sector general insurance company of India, and thus is one of the most popular jobs among all aspirants who are willing to enter into the government sector. NIACL released 312 vacancies for the post of AO ( Administrative Officer) in December 2018 . The prelims exam for NIACL AO was scheduled to be held on 30th January 2019. The exam was conducted in two shifts. It was a golden chance for all the aspirants who were preparing for this day since long. NIACL AO Prelims Overall Analysis
NIACL AO prelims exam was in the usual online mode with MCQs. There were three sections ‘English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability’ with sectional timing of 20 minutes each. The introduction of sectional timings has made the exam experience a bit tougher for the candidates , as they can not switch between any of the sections as per their convenience. The number of questions section-wise were as follows:

Looking into the overall analysis of ‘Shift I’, we can infer that the level of this shift was ‘easy – moderate’, which might not be too tough for most of the aspirants to crack, if you keep your mind concentrated and alert, while fighting off the pressure of sectional timings. Thus, total good attempts in this Shift – I should be around 68-75.
NIACL AO Prelims Exam Detailed Analysis – SHIFT II
1.English Language
As in Shift I, the level of English Language was close to ‘easy – moderate’. The RC that was asked was based on ‘Role of Banks in Economy’, which may have been a bit time-consuming as compared to a simpler topic.

As per the review, no new pattern questions were asked. Some questions were little bit calculative and time-consuming.

- 1 tabular DI was asked (Based on number of buses and number of seats per bus and number of boys per bus was given)
- 1 caselet was asked (Based on strength of crew members in three different airlines)

Analysing the second shift of NIACL AO Prelims , we can say that the overall level of the paper was easy – moderate, taking into consideration all types of questions that came, including most of the old pattern questions, which could have been familiar to all the aspirants. Thus, the total good attempts in SHIFT – II can be considered around – 70-75.
Now that the prelims phase is over, you should not waste any more time in contemplating on the prelims results , cut-off etc. Instead of that you should analyse your own performance and realize that it is time to strategize and plan your next move that should be aimed at qualifying the NIACL AO Mains examination.
