RBI Assistant Exam 2025: Syllabus & Exam Pattern 

Before you begin your preparation, you need to be aware of the exam pattern. The RBI Assistant exam consists of three stages: 

  • Preliminary Exam (Prelims): The prelims will test aspirants for three topics of which Numerical and Reasoning Ability papers will have 35 questions with 35 marks each while the English Language paper will have 30 questions for 30 marks and the total time will be 60 minutes.  
  • Main Exam (Mains): The Mains will test aspirants on 5 topics. All the five topics will be for 40 marks and will be for 40 questions each. The topics that aspirants need to prepare are Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language , General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The exam will be for 135 minutes 
  • Language Proficiency Test (LPT) : After clearing the Mains, candidates have to clear the LPT in the local language of the region for which they are applying.
