SEBI Assistant Manager Notification: An Overview
The SEBI Assistant Manager Notification has been released on June 10, 2024. Before this, a brief advertisement about SEBI Grade A recruitment was released on March 14 2024 stating the official notification release date as April 13, 2024 but later it got postponed due to the ongoing General elections. Now after the completion of the Election process, on June 10th the SEBI Grade A Official notification was released. The Notification contains various information regarding the SEBI Assistant Manager Syllabus, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Salary and more. According to the notification, the SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam (all streams) is going to be held on July 27, 2024 and Mains (all streams except IT) is going to be held on August 31, and the Mains exam for IT stream is going to happen on September 14, 2024. Furthermore, the number of vacancies announced this year is 97 across all streams. The vacancies breakdown is, 62 for SEBI Grade A General Stream, 5 for SEBI Legal, 24 for SEBI IT, 2 for SEBI Research, 2 for SEBI Rajbhasha (Official Language) and 2 for Engineering (Electrical).
The eligibility criteria for all these are different as stated in the official notification. However, the SEBI Grade A Prelims Exam would be the same for all streams, whereas there will be a separate exam for all streams for the SEBI Mains. Below is the eligibility criteria specified for every stream of SEBI Assistant Manager.

The Post Graduate Diploma must be equivalent to a Master’s Degree in that discipline as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. |
Legal | Mandatory Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable Experience: Two years of post-qualification experience as an Advocate, including work as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm, after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961, is considered a desirable qualification. |
IT | Candidates must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a postgraduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science, computer application, or information technology from a recognized University or Institute. |
Research | Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or a Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years) in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, AI, or related fields, or a Master’s in Mathematics with a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics from a recognized University or Institute. The Post Graduate Diploma must be equivalent to a Master’s Degree as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. |
