SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Procedure/ Exam Pattern

The candidates will have to qualify in the Tier 1of the exam to reach the next stage or Tier 2. SSC CHSL 2024 Tier I Exam Pattern (Objective Type)

The Tier I of SSC CHSL Examination is held in online mode and consists of objective type questions or MCQs where you will have to choose an answer from the options given.

• Tier I of SSC CHSL Exam will contain a negative marking of 0.50 marks on every incorrect answer.
• The Visually Handicapped candidates will be provided with 80 minutes.
• The cut-off and  merit list will be released by SSC after normalizing the scores obtained by the candidates.

SSC CHSL 2024 Tier -II Exam Pattern

The Tier II of SSC CHSL Examination will be in descriptive mode and will be conducted offline. The candidates will be required to write down an Essay / Letter / Application / Precis.

SSC CHSL Tier-III Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL Tier III Examination is a skill test / data entry test, where the candidates’ typing skills are tested. The speed limit is specified by SSC:

Skill Test for DEO:

• Data Entry Speed – 8,000 key depressions per hour;
• Duration – 15 minutes.

Skill Test for DEO in Comptroller & Auditor General Office:

• Data Entry Speed – 15,000 key depressions per hour;
• Duration – 15 minutes.

Typing Test for LDC / JSA and Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant

• The candidates will be able to choose the medium of typing test in the online application form.
• English Medium Typing Speed : 10,500 key depressions per hour; 35 words per minute.
• Hindi Medium Typing Speed : 9000 key depressions ; 30 words per minute.

SSC CHSL 2024 Application Fees

The application process for SSC CHSL will be completed only after you make the payment of fees. The payment of application fees can be done in both online and offline mode (Through Challan).
