DD News Conclave, October 2021: Yuva Shakti, From Sports to Start-ups

DD News recently organized a Conclave on the topic, “Yuva Shakti, From Sports to Start-ups” which was telecast on October 4, 2021. This was the fourth Conclave in DD News’ Conclave series. ixamBee was one of the invitees to the event representing the new-age startups. 

The panel comprised of Mr. Alok Agrawal, Innovation Evangelist and Managing Partner, The Growth Labs, Ms. Poonam Beniwal, former champion boxer and Fitness Manager with SAI. Mr. Anuj Yadav, Co-founder and COO, Sukriti Social Foundation and Mr. Pranav Bhatia, Founder and CEO of Stirring Mind Ventures joined the set as well.

In his message on the occasion, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal stressed upon the fact that the push given by the Government under Startup India has led to a boom of more than 56,000 registered startups and 60 unicorns to date. The Minister also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s connection with youth from various fields and said that Hon’ble PM led from the front in promoting innovation.

The panelists agreed that India is all set to become the Startup Capital of the World, with an attitudinal and mindset shift from being job-seekers to job-creators. Dr. Namrata Sharma represented ixamBee among representatives from various other startups and sports sector personalities present in the audience. During her interaction, she explained the work that ixamBee is doing in the space of coaching for government job exams and how the Company is trying to reach the Tier 2, 3 cities and rural areas through institutional partnerships. In this process, ixamBee is also able to create multiple avenues for direct and indirect employment across the country. 

On the occasion, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, and Information and Broadcasting, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur also sent a message. In his message, he spoke of initiatives taken in the country for sports like Khelo India Youth Games, Khelo India Centers and such, and said that the Prime Minister’s interactions with sportspersons have been a huge morale boost to them.

DD News also connected with the President of the Paralympic Committee of India, Ms. Deepa Malik, Paralympic Bronze medalist Mr. Sharad Kumar and Shooter Ronjan Sodhi virtually. 

Ms. Deepa Malik shared how the inclusion of Paralympic athletes in TOPS has taken their performance to the next level and that it was a collaborative effort by the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, SAI and the private sector.
